Alex, I think using chocolate liqueur would make this drink too sweet for me.

Anita, I suspect you may be right. Probably some sort of pre-sweetened chocolate drink mix. I seem to recall actually seeing a Cadbury product called “Chocolate Powder” at a store which carries imported English food. I think my version is probably better…

I have to admit, I’m surprised it came out so tasty. When I looked at the ingredients I was thinking a more appropriate name for the drink might be Nightmare Fuel in a Glass. Do you think using a good chocolate liqueur would work in the stead of the powdered chocolate, or might that be too unbalancing?

That is a very good point. I believe the LH is a bit more caramel flavored though than Banks 12 which also is less caramel flavored than (the oh so yummy..i`m drooling now) Banks 10.

the only thing i’ve noticed about some of the demerara rums is that a dominant caramel taste can spoil your complexity… that has been my experience a couple times with lemonheart…
