BOTW–Pliny the Elder
Recently, one of my favorite California Breweries, Russian River Brewing, expanded their facilities. This has enabled them to bottle a couple beers which had previously only been available on tap.
Pliny the Elder is their beer in the Double IPA style. I think, Russian River Brewing is among the best brewers in California and their Pliny the Elder is one of their best beers.
It has a beautiful balanced and complex hop character, but isn’t as weighted down with sweetness as many of the other beers in this category. It is simply a fantastic beer. If you enjoy hoppy beers, you owe it to yourself to try this beer.
