The piece on Jerry Thomas, and even the cocktail write-ups are very vivid and visual. Even the cocktail section has what I like in a drinks recipe book.. a bit of history and explanation. I finally understand why Fish House Punch is called Fish House Punch. Just damned good stuff. My wife got me a copy for Christmas, and I devoured it instantly.
